Naples - Italy

Our adventure in Naples was geneological.... Betty Anne had engaged a driver who took us to Avellino, the town where we believe our Italian side relatives are from..... we saw an auto body shop with the family name, but research was hard to come by..... We spent some time looking, but eventually used our time to explore the Amalfi Coast.....

Florence - Italy

View to the city as our bus approached.... quite a ride from the port, but we entertained ourselves by listening to Rick Steves tell us about what we were about to see..... Beautiful scenery from every vantage point as we walked around the city.....

Dubrovnik - Croatia

My favorite port on our Mediterranean trip was this seaside city, Dubrovnik...... the wall surrounding it was started as early as the 12th century, but completed in the 17th (according to the literature provided us).... the wall is reinforced by 3 circular towers and 14 rectangular ones.... We walked almost the whole way around, but it was quite warm..... View of the Walled City from the Ship Our Favorite Spot for a Bite to Eat- Cafe Buza You Must Walk THROUGH the Wall to Get There! If only we had worn our bathing suits under our clothes..... their were steps down to the Aegean..... Walled City and Beyond Dominican Monastery
